Have been a bit slack lately, updating my diaries but last week had 2 good windsurf sessions at wsm,and 1 kiteboard session in portishead. But after the session I had today, thought I should let you all know how good westward ho was. When i left home in the morning it was raining with no wind and i was unsure whether to set off or not. Windguru was saying 17knots nw so i thought i would risk it, thank goodness i did. When i arrived the tide had just started to go out,the wind was a steady force 4 with nice waves it was forecast to die off, so i quickly rigged a 5.3 and went out,not quite enough power so then rigged the 6.0 perfect, fully powered and sailed for 5 hours in cross on sunny conditions, with lovely little ramps for floaty jumps. The wind did not drop but just got stronger.Magic session definately going back there again, free parking right next to sand.10 other windsurfers, 10 kite surfers, land boarders, buggys allin all a top place with super friendly people.
